KSIDC's (Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation) 'Bio Connect Kerala 2023' organised a two-day international industrial conclave at the Leela Hotel, Kovalam,on May 25-26, 2023 to promote the life science sector in Kerala. The minister for industry, P. Rajeev, inaugurated the conclave online. The conclave was attended by 300 delegates, including experts, students, and researchers from the sector of life sciences, leading companies, research and development institutes, and start-ups from the life science field.
The conclave also set up 45 exhibition stalls introducing new technologies, services, and products in life science. The primary objectives of the conclave is to attract top investors to the state, enhance industry linkages to create partnership opportunities, showcase infrastructure and initiatives for availing incentives under the Kerala industrial policy, create an industry-academia interface, provide investment opportunities for product development and scale-up, and foster industry/academia networking. The industrial conclave is a unique opportunity to understand the state's policy and regulatory environment and the vast existing and emerging business opportunities across sectors.
