The Ascend Kerala-2019 event was held on Monday, the 11th of February 2019, at the Lulu International Convention Centre, Grand Hyatt, Bolgatty, Kochi from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to showcase various initiatives undertaken by the Government of Kerala as part of the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) reforms.

The Government of Kerala has initiated a wide range of reforms such as,

• Formulating a new business friendly Industrial policy
• Revamping of the Land Lease Policy
• KSWIFT– an effective web based application for efficient citizen Government interface
• Invest Kerala– an interactive portal providing a single touch point and an effective integrated system for information on clearance & approvals

The event witnessed plenary addresses, panel discussions, break-out sessions and presentations on some of the best practices from other States under the Ease of Doing Business initiatives.
