Industries Minister P. Rajeeve inaugurated the International MSME Day celebration, jointly organised by the Department of Industry and Commerce, Directorate of Industry and Commerce Department, KSIDC, and K-BIP on June 27 in Thiruvananthapuram. Transport Minister Antony Raju is Presiding over the function.

After the inaugural session, Joint Director, Directorate of Industries and Commerce, P. Rajeev gave a presentation on "Strength of MSME Ecosystem in Kerala." A panel session on "MSME Ecosystem of Four Key Sectors and Way Forward" was also held on the sidelines of the programme. Moderated by Director of Trinity College, Arun Surendran, the panellists included Shri Pius Varghese, CEO of Vinvish Technologies (Defence & Aerospace); Bipha (Ayurveda and Biotechnology) CEO Shri Ajay George; Keltron (ESDM) Executive Director Shri Hemachandran; and Terumo Penpol (Medical Devices) Innovation & Development-Head Shinu Nair.
