A phone call to his grandmother was the reason for 15-year-old Uday Shankar from Thammanam to achieve his first patent in artificial intelligence. When he called, his grandmother was busy and told him she would call back later. Uday then decided to create an AI version of his grandmother to talk to him. This is how he started his startup, Urav Advanced Learning Systems. Uday received an Indian patent for the app "Bhashini," which can handle multiple languages. Uday Shankar had an interest in technology from a young age. Therefore, he ended his traditional school education in the eighth grade and switched to open schooling.
